Tour Itinerary
A licensed New York
City tour guide will meet you in midtown Manhattan and
escort you via subway to the Statue of Liberty ferry. Upon
arriving on Liberty Island you will receive your collectible Monument Access
Pass that allows you entry into the Statue at a pre-reserved time -- the only
way that you can actually get inside -- and guarantees you passage to the
highest point available to the public.
You'll
stroll into the lobby where you can experience the original torch, the
Statue of Liberty Exhibit, and then proceed to the promenade area for an up
close view of the Statue and breathtaking views of the New York harbor and
skyline.
Once out of the Statue you will be given
a brief tour of the beautiful panorama of New York Harbor. Your
guide will be pointing out to you (while still on Liberty Island)
such sights as Ellis Island and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Then you will be escorted back to
Manhattan by ferry for a brief walking tour of Lower Manhattan,
including Battery Park and historic Trinity Church.
You will then be given an in depth tour
of the site of the former World Trade Center Twin Towers (Ground Zero). You
will see the remarkable memorials to the police, firemen and victims
of September 11. You can walk the floor of the former site of the World Trade
Center, and you will see the plans for the rebuilding of the
magnificent new World Trade Center, as well as an emotionally
riveting children's art exhibit.
The tour ends at New York’s oldest
standing public structure, St. Paul’s Chapel. Your tour guide will
assist you in returning to midtown Manhattan, or recommend other
sites of interest in Lower Manhattan.
