The Statue of Liberty is more than a monument - she is a beloved friend, and a living symbol of freedom to millions around the world. No trip to New York City is complete without visiting the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Liberty and Ellis Islands are accessible only by ferry service. One round trip ferry ticket includes visits to both islands. Please note that this ticket is for the ferry only and does not allow access into the Statue. Statue of Liberty Ferry Schedule:
  (subject to change) 8:30am to 5:15pm (expanded hours in Summer)

The park is closed on December 25th. Hours of operation are adjusted seasonally. Please allow for ferry transportation time in your schedule. Access to facilities on both Liberty Island and Ellis Island can be limited/closed prior to the final ferry departure.

Ferry ticket purchase does not include tours or visit inside of the Statue of Liberty. Admission to Immigration Museum on Ellis Island is free.

Location and Directions to Statue of Liberty Ferry:

The Statue of Liberty Ferry departs from Battery Park on the southern tip of Lower Manhattan.

By Subway:
1 (Seventh Avenue Line) to South Ferry, or the 4 or 5  (Lexington Ave. Line) to Bowling Green

Security Information:

All passengers will be screened before they board the Circle Line-Statue of Liberty Ferry boats, and there will be restrictions on backpacks and luggage. Visitors are advised to arrive early, leaving up to one hour for processing through the new security system. If possible, visitors are also advised to leave backpacks and luggage at home.

Please note the following security considerations:

  • Visitors to the Park are required to undergo airport style security screening. Visitors to the Monument undergo additional security screening.

  • All persons and property are subject to search.

  • Large bags are not allowed on Liberty or Ellis Islands.

  • There are no locker facilities at the New York and New Jersey embarkation points.

  • There are locker facilities on Liberty Island for Monument visitors.

  • Backpacks, strollers and large umbrellas are not permitted in the Monument.

  • Food (even unopened) and drinks (including water) are not allowed inside the Statue of Liberty.

  • All weapons are prohibited, including: Firearms, explosives or flammables, knives or sharp objects (including tools), pepper spray and mace.

Security is managed by the United States Park Police.

Planet Hollywood: 45th Street and Broadway. Open daily. Any sandwich or burger platter on the menu and ice cream for dessert, plus unlimited soft drinks, coffee or tea. Tax and gratuity included.

Langan's Restaurant: 47th Street just off Broadway. Open daily (may be closed on St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve.) Enjoy a salad, choice of entrees, dessert and coffee or tea. Menu changes daily.

Ticket Delivery:

Tickets and vouchers are sent to you via standard US postal service to valid US addresses. You may opt to have your purchase shipped to you by an expedited service, such as Federal Express or DHL, to an address in the continental US for an additional fee. If you purchase several options the same day you will only pay once for expedited shipping. Orders will be sent the same day for transactions made by 3pm Eastern US time Monday through Friday. Orders received after 3pm, or on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, will be sent the following business day.
Orders that you expect to receive in less than 2 weeks will require expedited 2-3 Business Day or Next Business Day service.

  • Standard US Mail -- allow 7-10 days.

  • 2-3 Business Day Delivery -- shipped via Federal Express or DHL (at our discretion). Not valid for PO Box addresses.

  • Next Business Day Delivery -- shipped via Federal Express or DHL (at our discretion). Not valid for PO Box addresses.

Orders placed outside of the United States will be delivered by courier service to a Manhattan hotel. Orders cannot be delivered by any other method. There is an additional charge for this service.
