The 86th floor Observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion and from the surrounding open-air promenade. At, 1,050 feet (320 meters), reached by high speed, automatic elevators, it has both a glass-enclosed area, which is heated in winter and cooled in summer, and spacious outdoor promenades on all four sides of the Building.

High powered binoculars are available on the promenades for the convenience of visitors at a minimal cost. Souvenir counters are also located in the 86th floor observatory. The 86th floor observatory is handicap accessible.

1, 2, 3 or 9 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Also B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas .

Security Information:

Everyone must go through the security check when entering the building. No glass or bottles are permitted to be taken to the Observatory. Cameras and camcorders are allowed but no tripods. ONLY carry-on size and style bags, suitcases, backpacks, duffle bags, luggage, etc., are permitted. We do not have a coat check, package, baggage check or holding area, so please do not attempt to bring non-carry-on style luggage to the Observatory.

Planet Hollywood: 45th Street and Broadway. Open daily. Any sandwich or burger platter on the menu and ice cream for dessert, plus unlimited soft drinks, coffee or tea. Tax and gratuity included.

Langan's Restaurant: 47th Street just off Broadway. Open daily (may be closed on St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve.) Enjoy a salad, choice of entrees, dessert and coffee or tea. Menu changes daily.

Ticket Delivery:

Tickets and vouchers are sent to you via standard US postal service to valid US addresses. You may opt to have your purchase shipped to you by an expedited service, such as Federal Express or DHL, to an address in the continental US for an additional fee. If you purchase several options the same day you will only pay once for expedited shipping. Orders will be sent the same day for transactions made by 3pm Eastern US time Monday through Friday. Orders received after 3pm, or on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, will be sent the following business day.
Orders that you expect to receive in less than 2 weeks will require expedited 2-3 Business Day or Next Business Day service.

  • Standard US Mail -- allow 7-10 days.

  • 2-3 Business Day Delivery -- shipped via Federal Express or DHL (at our discretion). Not valid for PO Box addresses.

  • Next Business Day Delivery -- shipped via Federal Express or DHL (at our discretion). Not valid for PO Box addresses.

Orders placed outside of the United States will be delivered by courier service to a Manhattan hotel. Orders cannot be delivered by any other method. There is an additional charge for this service.
